PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the adhesion of toner or the like, to reduce the scattering of the toner and developer, to improve image quality and to prevent the early deterioration of the developer by preventing the developer on a developing roller from being locally stressed in the longitudinal direction of the developing roller at a developing position. SOLUTION: A distance (d) between the surfaces of the developing roller 1 and a photoreceptor 10 is made long only in the vicinity of both ends of a magnet roller 1b or on the more outside than it so as to cope with the adhesion. The outside diameter of a developing sleeve 1c is made small in the vicinity of both ends of the roller 1b. Thus, force to press the photoreceptor 10 is weakened in the vicinity of both ends of the roller 1b and becomes the same as that on the inside of the roller 1b, whereby the adhesion of the toner or the like is avoided. |
