PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an oxidative hair dye composition affording glossy, natural dyeing result and having good conditioning effect on the hair with its effect sustaining for a long time. SOLUTION: This oxidative hair dye composition is characterized by comprising (a) at least one ingredient selected from 2-(β-hydroxyethyl)-p- phenylenediamine and salts thereof and (b) a silicone (except amino-modified silicones and quaternarized products thereof).
