PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a refrigerant returning path to a regenerator used when the operation of absorption type heating equipment is shifted from cooling operation or heat-pump operation to direct fired heating operation also serviceable as a refrigerant passage used when the heating equipment is operated for cooling or heat-pump operation without using any exclusively used refrigerant piping. SOLUTION: When the absorption type heating equipment is operated for direct fired heating, the supply of a refrigerant liquid from a condenser 9 to an evaporator 1 is discontinued and the refrigerant liquid gathering in the evaporator 9 is made to overflow the upper part of a rectifier 6 through a refrigerant vapor passage 20. The heating equipment is provided with a guide member 27 that guides the refrigerant liquid overflowing the upper part of the rectifier 6 to the side wall side of the rectifier 6. To the upper part of the rectifier 6, part of a refrigerant is fed from the evaporator 1 as a gas-liquid contacting solution. In order to make the gas-liquid contacting solution to flow down in a dispersed state, a dispersing device 24 is set up in the rectifier 6 with a gap G between the side wall of the rectifier 6 and the device 24. The guide member 27 is raised from the edge of the dispersing device 24 so that the refrigerant liquid overflowing the upper part of the condenser 9 may be brought into collision with the member 27 and guided to the gap G. The dispersing device 24 is concentrically arranged in the cylindrical rectifier 6.
