PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for checking the inner layer registration of a printed wiring board, in which the set-up time before measuring the shift and the labor of drilling work are saved, while eliminating the problem of positional error of boring for measuring the shift. SOLUTION: A printed wiring board is mounted fixedly on an NC control X-Y table in an X-ray imaging equipment. An X-ray image recognizing and automatic position measuring system, connected with the X-ray imaging equipment and the NC control X-Y table is then operated, and an inner layer reference hole mark 4, as shown in Fig. 1 (a) and Fig. 1 (b) of the working board of printed wiring board is read by X-rays. Using the inner layer reference hole mark 4 thus read out as the origin, the position of each inner layer land of test coupons 3 provided at four corners of each inner layer is measured automatically. |
