PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the measurement accuracy and stability of a stress or strain by eliminating a relative slip page between the buried portion of a fiber- optic sensor and the rubber section of a rubber-like elastic body at the time of measuring the strain of the rubber section of the elastic body, by burying the sensor in the rubber section. SOLUTION: At the time of measuring the strain of the rubber section of the rubber-like elastic body, such as laminated rubber-bearing bodies 10 and 20, a rubber-made fender 30, etc., by burying the fiber-optic sensor 50 in the rubber section and applying a load to the elastic body, the slip between the buried portion 51 of the sensor 50 and rubber section of the elastic body is prevented by providing projections 53, 57, 73, and 77 on the outer periphery of the buried portion 51 of the sensor 50.
