PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the conventional problem of having to provide an area which is larger than that required for a solar battery because a battery charging device of the solar battery has been often operated under a condition which lies outside of the maximum efficiency of the solar battery, due to the change of panel temperature of solar battery and a battery voltage on the load side. SOLUTION: The battery charging device with a solar battery comprises a solar battery 1, an electric double-layer capacitor C1 connected to the solar battery 1 and a single-side circuit via a reverse current preventing diode D1, a pulse charge control circuit 2 connected to the electric double-layer capacitor C1, a constant current circuit structure DC-DC converter 3, connected to the pulse charge control circuit 2 and the single-side circuit via a switching element Q1 and a battery load 4 connected to the constant current circuit structure DC-DC converter 3.
