SOLUTION: An optical signal from an object 24 is received by a PSD 26, a pair of signal currents detected by the PSD 26 is amplified by the amplifier 27 and 28, and are inputted into an arithmetic circuit 31 through changeover switches 29 and 30. The output of actual measurement or the output signal of a reference signal source 32 can be selectively inputted by switching the changeover switches 29 and 30, the ranging value is calculated and stored in false by a CPU 33, and then the actual measurement is corrected, thereby variations in the elements constituting a circuit generated by temperature dependency is eliminated. |
