PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To well observe a still picture and a dynamic picture in a state in which a boundary line between master and slave screens is clarified by obtaining the master screen equivalent to one screen display and the slave screen assuring a certain degree of a size. SOLUTION: A microcomputer 28 generates and outputs the master screen single mask setting a master screen region of the same size as that of the one-screen display and a master/slave screen mask obtained by superposing slave screen regions on four corner positions of the master screen region via a mask memory 29, fits the dynamic picture formed based on a video signal from a DSP 20 into the master screen region of the master screen single mask, and displays the picture. Meanwhile, at a still picture displaying operation time, the microcomputer 28 fits the still picture formed via an image memory 21 in the master screen region of the master/slave screen mask, fits a contracted dynamic picture obtained by a contraction arithmetic circuit 25 in the slave screen region, and displays the picture.
