PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for pressing a car body panel capable of reducing the cost for a press apparatus. SOLUTION: A press apparatus comprising a die 35 and a first to third punches 40, 60, 70 is assembled in a press machine, and the press apparatus is operated by the ram 14 in the press machine. Thereby the peripheral edge 19 of a semi-finish product 18 for a car body panel preliminarily subjected to drawing and trimming is formed. Wherein, the semi-finish product 18 is attached by suspending from above, and is set in the press apparatus in an erected state, while setting the peripheral edge between the first to third punches and the die. Lowering the first to third punches with the ram forms the peripheral edge.
