PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the manufacturing efficiency of a decorative product by facilitating formation of a metal layer, to present a more varicolored pattern by forming the pattern with the metal layer colored variously with ease and thereby to make the product abundant in decorativeness. SOLUTION: The metal layer K is provided on the surface 10a of a baseboard 10 and a non-metallic surface layer 11 is provided on the surface Ka of the metal layer K. The surface layer 11 is removed by laser processing to expose the surface Ka of the metal layer K and thereby the pattern M is formed. In the decorative product thus constituted, the metal layer K is provided in such a manner that metallic sheets S different in the color of the surface Ka are stuck partially to the baseboard 10. Besides, the surface layer 11 is constituted of a main surface layer 11A and a subordinate surface layer 11B and patterns m1, m2, m3 and m4 are formed at least in either of the main surface layer 11A and the subordinate surface layer 11B. Digging being made in dots 12, moreover, a pattern m5 is formed of continuous dug parts 13 different in a degree of density and a depth of the dot 12, and a pattern m6 is formed also in a portion to which the metallic sheet S is not stuck, by removing the surface layer 11 and further by digging the base board 10.
