<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intake device for an internal combustion engine capable of preventing a rich gas from being collected in an intake passage provided with an air current control valve, in closing the air current control valve. SOLUTION: Intake passages 2a, 2b branched into two are connected to a combustion chamber 4 of the engine, and a part in the downstream with respect to the air current control valve 9, of the intake passage 2b and the intake passage 2a are communicated by means of a communicating passage 11. A projection 12 is formed on an inner wall of the intake passage in the upstream of an opening part of the communicating passage 11. Whereby the air flow along the inner wall is separated from the inner wall by the projection 12, and the pressure of a part corresponding to the opening of the communicating passage 11 in the intake passage 2a is reduced to be lowered than the pressure in the communicating passage 11. As a result, a gas existing on a part in the downstream of the air current control valve 9 in the intake passage 2b is sucked toward the part corresponding to the opening part of the communicating passage 11 in the intake passage 2a, and efficiently guided to the intake passage 2a through the communicating passage 11.</p> |
