PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid developing device and a liquid image forming apparatus by which a high-quality image is formed by preventing fogging of images and carrier liquid is reduced. SOLUTION: In the liquid developing device having at least one developer carriers 42 to carry liquid developer with high viscosity and high concentration formed by distributing toner in carrier liquid and an application member 44 to apply the liquid developer to the developer carrier 42 and to develop a latent image formed on a latent image carrier 1 by the liquid developer carried by the developer carrier 42, it is provided with at least one removal rollers 43 provided on the downstream side in the transfer direction of the latent image carrier of the developer carrier 42 and formed by an elastic body to remove excess developer after development of the latent image carrier 1, a nip forming means 55 to form a nip between the removal roller 43 and the latent image carrier 1, a removing voltage impressing means 52 to impress voltage to the removal roller 43, a rotating and driving means to rotate and drive the removal roller 43, attaching/detaching means 50, 51 to attach/detach the latent image carrier and a cleaning means 43 to clean the removal roller 43. |
