PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a lens barrel where a cam ring is prevented from interfering with other member by preventing the cam ring rotation in a certain section set from the retreat end of the cam ring. SOLUTION: This lens barrel is equipped with a fixed ring 13 made coaxial with the cam ring and positioned on the outer periphery side of the cam ring; a rotating ring 14 made coaxial with the fixed ring, positioned on the outer periphery side and driven to be rotated; a follower pin 15b projected from the cam ring toward the outside in a radial direction; and a cam ring regulating cam groove 13b provided on the fixed ring, and a rotation transmitting groove 14a provided on the rotating ring 14 in which the follower pin is fit. The cam ring regulating cam groove of the fixed ring has a straight advance guiding groove part 13b1 consisting only of a component in an optical axis direction, a photographing state shifting groove part 13b2 including the component in the optical axis direction and a component in a peripheral direction, and a zoom section groove part 13b3 consisting only of a component in a circumferential direction. The rotation transmitting groove of the rotating ring has an inclined groove part 14a2 engaged with the follower pin when the follower pin is positioned in the straight advance guiding groove part and a linear groove part 14a1 consisting only of the component in the optical axis direction engaged with the follower pin when the follower pin is positioned in the inclined groove part.
