PURPOSE: An apparatus for relieving impact shock of a car is provided to achieve the more powerful shock relieving mechanism in due consideration of a high speed impact accident of 80-100km/h. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus for relieving impact shock of a car comprises a binding system(10) for preventing the secession of a cushion body(42) at the time of a high speed impact accident, an elastic restoration limiting system(20) for preventing a secondary shock, and a contraction guiding device(30). The binding system comprises a corrugated steel plate(22) arranged at the both sides of the cushion body, whose both ends being attached to partition members(21) in order to prevent sideward secession thereof; a binding member(12) or cover plate connected to the upper ends of the overlapped plural partition members; side cover plates(13) connected each other by a bolt(15) sliding along a groove(14) of the plate; and a bottom plate. The elastic restoration limiting system serves to limit the elastic repulsion force of the contracted cushion body by using the flexibility of the corrugated steel plate which is also contracted at the time of impact. The contraction guiding device has an anti-secession jaw(33a) and a rail(31) to which a sliding support(33) formed at the bottom of the partition member is fitted.
