PURPOSE: A wire guide of an Ilizarove external fixation system is provided to improve the insertion of wire by employing a guide that is level with a ring and parallel to an axis of diaphysis. CONSTITUTION: The wire guide is comprised of a fixing unit for temporally being fixed on a hole of ring of the Ilizarove external fixation system, a first guide being level with the ring and parallel to the axis of diaphysis, a second guide for predicting a position where a pin comes out, and a third guide being parallel to an axis of bone. A wire or olive wire used in the Ilizarove external fixation system is perpendicular to the normal axis of bone before or after installing the ring and level with the ring. By using the wire guide, an operator easily inserts the wire into a desired position of a human body.
