PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus in which ink end and loading of an ink cartridge can be detected accurately by means of an optical detector. SOLUTION: An ink detection processing executes detection of ink end through an ink sensor every time when the number of ink ejection times exceeds a specified count d. If the number of ink ejection times exceeds the specified count d (S14; Yes), detection position is corrected based on a correction value detected by calibration data input processing and calibration processing for taking in the quantity of reflected light is executed (S15). After the calibration processing is executed (S15), it is judged whether a reflection light level thus taken in is not lower than a first threshold level for determining ink end (S16). Loading of an ink cartridge is detected by judging whether the detected reflection light level is higher than a second threshold level or not. |
