PURPOSE: A light source device, a back light assembly having the same, and a liquid crystal display are provided to prevent ultraviolet rays from being provided to a light guide plate, thereby preventing the light guide plate from changing to a yellow color. CONSTITUTION: In a light source device(710) including a glass tube(701) filled with an inactive gas filler(711) and sealed thereafter and having a fluorescent material mixed layer inside, generating light corresponding to electric signals applied through a first electrode(707) and a second electrode(709) placed at both ends of the glass tube, the light source device includes a shield film(703) coated at the inner wall of the glass tube to block off a part of light emitted from the glass tube.
