PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic drill type riveting machine in which a large C-shaped frame is not required even with a member to be riveted which has a vertical wall, etc., and must expand the space between a punch and a die. SOLUTION: In the automatic drill type riveting machine 1, the punch 9 is disposed on one end side of the C-shaped frame 3, and the punch is fitted to a tip of the other end side. A receiver part 14 includes a hollow shaft 17 in which a feed tube 13 is connected to one end thereof, and held by a supporting cylinder 15 of the C-shaped frame, and a receiver head 18 in which an automatic drill type rivet is held by the punch one by one, the hollow shaft 17 is supported by the supporting cylinder 15 slidably in the axial direction, and rotatably around the axis. The receiver head 18 is connected so as to be selectively located at the first position in which the punch faces the die and the second position (Fig. 2) in which the punch is separated from the die by the movement by the sliding motion and the rotation of the follow shaft.
