PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for detecting air flow, which is easily attached to an existing coating booth, durable satisfactorily against the sticking of coating material mist and detects even a slow wind speed to feed back quickly to a suction and exhaust apparatus in the coating booth. SOLUTION: The apparatus 10 for detecting the air flow, which is attached to the entrance port of the coating booth 50 used for the coating of a product by spraying to detect the air flow in the coating booth 50, is composed of a wind receiving plate 12 pressed and rocked by the air flow, a supporting means 13 for supporting the wind receiving plate 12 to freely rock and a detecting means 20 for detecting the rocking of the wind receiving plate 12 electrically.
