PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce coating material and cleaning thinner costs by delaying thickening in mixing of coating materials in a coating method for the low- temperature curing two-liquid type polyurethane coating materials. SOLUTION: A first liquid consisting of a polyhydroxy compound as a base and a second liquid consisting of a polyisocyanate as a chief are mixed as coating materials in a mixer and this liquid mixture is supplied to a spray gun 5 to perform coating. During the standby for the coating or interruption thereof, nitrogen is force fed from an inert gas, for example, high-pressure nitrogen cylinder 7 into a coating material supply system to the spray gun 5 inclusive of at least the mixer 4.
