PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To take an effective countermeasure against cavitation in a motor- driven pump. SOLUTION: The motor-driven pump is constituted so as to intermittently operate for a prescribed time or by a prescribed frequency in the initial stage of hot water supply. Driving and stopping of the motor-driven pump are repeated in the initial stage of hot water supply when easily causing cavitation to the motor-driven pump.
