PURPOSE: A method for automatically collecting Internet information and a recording medium including a program for automatically collecting Internet information are provided to enable a user to designate an interesting information field directly while the user uses an Internet site and supply updated contents for the user by searching the designated information in a corresponding Internet site. CONSTITUTION: If a specific portion of a web page displayed on a web browser is selected, information with respect to the selected portion is recorded in a selection information file(S100). A connection to an Internet site indicated by each selection information of the selection information file is achieved, and contents of a corresponding portion are collected(S200). Changed contents different from previous contents out of the collected contents are extracted, classified, and processed(S300). The processed information is managed for a user' recognition(S400).
