PURPOSE: An EMI(Electromagnetic Interference) preventing device for a flat display device is provided to increase the clock frequency to reduce the electromagnetic interference by modulating the clock frequency by a modulation profile by the spread spectrum clocking. CONSTITUTION: An EMI preventing device for a flat display device includes a clock generating element(310) for generating a reference clock for spread spectrum clocking(SSC), an SSC processing element(320) for modulating a frequency of the reference clock output from the clock generating element according to a modulation profile having a predetermined frequency, and a data processing element(330) for carrying out predetermined data processing by the input clock signal from the SSC processing element.
