PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new baggage fixing appliance to solve problems in the conventional fixing appliance and method in a case when the baggage is loaded in a trunk of an automobile that though the baggage is put in a hard case or placed on a tray with a slip stopper, the baggage sometimes moves with the case in accordance with the movement of an automobile, or the baggage falls down and rolls because the slip stopper does not work, and further as the shape and a dimension of the appliance are fixed, it can not cope with various kinds of automobiles. SOLUTION: The appliance 1 having a structure variable corresponding to the shape and the dimension of the trunk of the automobile is placed in the trunk. The appliance 1 is provided with a belt 15 of which a length is adjustable, whereby the appliance can cope with various kinds of automobiles, and the baggage of any shape and size can be fixed in the trunk regardless of the movement of the automobile.
