BELT-TYPE THICKENING MACHINE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a belt-type thickening machine which has excellent thickening performance, is easily cleaned owing to good release properties of sludge and has excellent corrosion resistance. SOLUTION: An endless belt 4 is tensioned between both sprockets or rollers 2 and 3 placed at the starting end of a trajectory to charge the sludge for thickening and a dead end to discharge thickened sludge. A filtering area in which the endless belt 4 has a plurality of openings is formed of a plurality of metal-wire materials placed adjacently with each other. The filtering area formed by the metal-wire materials is present in multilayers in the direction of the front and back surfaces of the endless belt 4.
