PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide always newest map information database and improve the convenience of a navigation device by distributing the map information database through a network. SOLUTION: A network distribution system is provided with a position measurement block for measuring the present position, a communication terminal 24 for accessing a map information database providing site 10 placed on the internet 50 through the internet 50, a control block for gaining in turn the necessary map information database out of the map information database providing site 10 through the communication terminal 24, and a display 21 for indicating on a map based on the map information database gained by the control block by pointing the present position measured with a positioning means.
