PURPOSE: A high density double-sided optical disc and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to simply manufacture the optical disc in a double-layered structure with the single-surfaced substrate injection equipment. CONSTITUTION: A high density double-sided optical disc includes the first substrate(21) having the first recording surface to record data signals, the first protecting layer(25) formed on the first substrate for protecting the substrate, a second substrate(23) joined with the first substrate symmetrically and having a second recording surface to record data signals, and a second protecting layer(27) formed on the second substrate to protect the substrate, wherein thickness of the first and second substrates(D1) and thickness of the first and second protecting layers(D2) satisfy the conditions that 0.45<=D1<=0.55(mm), and 0.05<=D2<=0.15(mm).
