摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a signal processing method for improving the detection accuracy of the angular speed an optical gyro, having superior detection preci sion of the angular speed and detecting the direction of rotation. SOLUTION: A bead frequency from an element and a logical signal from a static signal input terminal 106 are input to a signal processing circuit 107. First, when a static signal input is 'true', the value of a beat frequencyΔfrld is held as a static beat frequencyΔf0 used for signal processing, and an angular speed signal of 0.0 is output. Next, when the static signal input is 'false', the beat frequencyΔfrld is obtained and (Δfrld -Δf0 ) is output. However, immediately after drive of the gyro has stared, preset initial valueΔfinit of the stationary beat frequency is used. Thereafter, the stationary signal input terminal becomes 'true', and when the static bead frequency can be calibrated, a terminal 109 is set to 'false'.
