PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electromagnetic shield plate material which can be obtained by a simple method and which has a light weight and a high electromagnetic shielding effect, and to provide an electromagnetic shielding structure made of the shielding material. SOLUTION: The electromagnetic shield plate material 10 comprises a hollow particle dispersed composite material which contains hollow particles 12 made of an inorganic compound in a metal matrix 11. The electromagnetic shielding structure is made by coupling the plate material 10 two-dimensionally or three- dimensionally.
