PURPOSE: A safety jacket for an infant used in a vehicle is provided to protect the infant when a vehicle accident occurs by coupling a safety belt of a vehicle seat into a rear protecting plate. CONSTITUTION: A front protecting plate(1) is formed at a front portion of an infant jacket. In addition, a fastening belt(2) is provided at both sides of the infant jacket. A rear protecting plate is formed at a rear portion of the infant jacket. A detaching device, such as a zipper or a button, is formed at a hinge part of the front protecting plate(1), so as to allow the front protecting plate(1) to be attached/detached to/from the infant jacket. In addition, a fixing device is provided at an inner portion of the front protecting plate(1). A reinforcement strip is coupled to the rear protecting plate so as to prevent the rear protecting plate from being separated from the infant jacket.
