PURPOSE: An apparatus for polishing an optical communication connector is provided to improve polishing performance by using a sheet type or a roll type abrasive, a two-axis robot, and a constant pressure unit. CONSTITUTION: A servo controller is installed in the inside of a main body(21) in order to control various drivers. An abrasive fixing plate(23) is installed on the main body(21) in order to fix an abrasive. A plate transfer unit(24) is installed at a lower portion of the abrasive fixing plate(23) in order to transfer the abrasive fixing plate(23) to an X-axis. A connector fixing head(27) is installed on an upper portion of the abrasive fixing plate(23). The connector fixing head(27) includes a holder for fixing an optical communication connector. A two-axis robot(28) is installed on an upper portion of the connector fixing head(27) in order to transfer the connector fixing head(27) to the X-axis or a Y-axis. A constant pressure unit(29) is installed in the inside of the two-axis robot(28) in order to control constantly a vertical pressure of the optical communication connector. A control board(30) is installed on an upper portion of the two-axis robot(28) in order to perform various control functions.
