PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To keep raster brightness uniform in a connected portion. SOLUTION: When displaying an image of one screen by superposing and connecting part of screens formed by the scanning of two electron beams and correcting the brightness of the connected portion to the image signals of two screens so that raster brightness is uniformized at the connected portion, a correction amount adjustment part 41 adjusts a correction amount by using the digital image signal of each screen. A signal to which correction amount adjustment is applied is converted into an analog image signal in a D/A conversion part 42. A signal correcting part 43 corrects the connected portion by predetermined characteristics by using the signal. When carrying out a correction by the predetermined characteristics, a correction based on a low brightness signal is carried out, and the correction amount is increased as the brightness becomes high in the correction amount adjustment. A signal whose brightness is corrected so as to uniformize the brightness of the connected portion is supplied to an output part 44, and the electron gun 11 of a cathode-ray tube 10 is driven by the signal from the output part. |
