PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet recording head having means for preventing adhesion of ink to an actuator and to the joint of the actuator and a wiring board completely even if the ink is supplied to the actuator before it is mounted on a carriage. SOLUTION: The ink jet recording head 11 comprises an actuator 16 for controlling ink ejection from a plurality of nozzle holes, a wiring board for transmitting a drive signal to the actuator 16, a nozzle guide 20 covering the joint of the wiring board and the actuator 16, and a manifold 18 for supplying ink to the actuator 16 wherein the wiring board is led out from between the nozzle guide 20 an the manifold 18 and a sealant 19a is applied between the nozzle guide 20 and the actuator 16 and between the actuator 16 and the manifold 18 to spread over the entire outer circumferential surface of the actuator 16.
