PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a fan air sound in the so-called upper blow-off outdoor machine by optimizing the configuration of an air passage. SOLUTION: A partition plate (41) is provided in a casing (10) to define a suction side of an air fan (51) and a blow-off side of the same. A separator plate (46) is mounted on a back surface section (11) of the casing (10). In a downstream chamber (43) in the casing (10) a main air passage (63) and a sub air passage (64) are defined with the separator plate (46). The separator plate (46) is disposed such that a ratio W1 /W2 of the widths of the main air passage (63) and the sub air passage (64) is 3.0 or larger and is 6.0 or smaller.
