PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an image defect caused by peeling discharge in a high- speed electrophotographic device, and to improve durability. SOLUTION: A photoreceptor for electrophotography 100 is provided with a conductive supporting body 101 and a light receiving layer 102 formed on the supporting body 101. The layer 102 is provided with a photoconductor layer 103 consisting of non-monocrystal material incorporating a silicon atom and a surface protective layer 104. When the surface moving speed PS of the photoreceptor in the electrophotographic process is >=320 mm/sec, the film thickness Ds (μm) of the surface protective layer and the resistivity value Rs (Ωcm) thereof are regulated to satisfy 1.0×10<9> <=Rs<=1.0×10<13> and Ds<=-0.136 Ln(Rs)+(-0.004×PS+6) (Ln means a natural logarithm), respectively.
