PURPOSE: Transgenic mice expressing H-Ras/K-Ras chimeric gene are provided, which can be useful in studies on the carcinogenesis pathway associated with K-Ras activation. CONSTITUTION: The transgenic mice expressing H-Ras/K-Ras chimeric gene is prepared by transforming mice with an expression vector having a gene map of figure 1, and containing mouse mammary tumor virus(MMTV) promoter, a gene encoding the amino acids from 1 to 164 in the amino acid sequence of H-Ras protein which is the amino-terminal common sequence, and a gene encoding the amino acids from 165 to 188 in the amino acid sequence of K-Ras protein which is the carboxy-terminal specific sequence, wherein the H-Ras/K-Ras chimeric gene is expressed from the mammary gland of the transgenic mice, thereby inducing a breast cancer; the expression vector is pMAM neo genomic H-Ras-K-Ras 4B. A transformed E. coli MC1061/pMAM neo genomic H-Ras-K-Ras 4B(KCTC 0411 BP) expressing the H-Ras/K-Ras 4B gene is produced by transforming E. coli MC1061 with the expression vector pMAM neo genomic H-Ras-K-Ras 4B.
