The invention relates to a stiff mounted coaxial camshaft gear for setting the valves with linearly variable operating parameters, having a valve actuating mechanism sinchronized thereto while varying the combustion chamber volume and the injected volume, employed in spark or compression ignition four-cycle internal combustion engines, in any operating conditions. According to the invention, the gear comprises two concentric camshafts (10, 15) whereon several cams (P1, 12, 14) are placed, the geometrical shape of the profile projection of said cams being variable, the action of the angular effects being differentiated by means of the variation of the ratio between the arms of some levers (4, 7) from the peak torque to idle running, said levers being actuated by a spring (23) located inside a slider (19) controlling the angular shift. The differentiated angular shifts of the combined cams (P1, 12, 14) at the opening and closing of the suction valves are of 1 degree at the opening and 4 degree at the closing thereof.
