PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To select a head transfer function suited to a listener from a head transfer function database even in the case where the listener does not have his/her own head transfer function.SOLUTION: A head transfer function selection device 1 comprises: a storage section 10 for storing pairs of impulse responses, for right and left ears, as temporal representations of head transfer functions for a plurality of persons; a feature amount computation section 20 for computing feature amounts based on cepstrum coefficients of cepstrum representing the impulse responses, including a first feature amount based on any other cepstrum coefficients than a zero-order cepstrum coefficient and a second feature amount based on the zero-order cepstrum coefficient and a time difference between the impulse responses for the right and left ears; a cluster discrimination section 30 which sorts the transfer functions into clusters on the basis of the feature amounts; and a selection section 40 which allows a user to select the head transfer function on the basis of the cluster. |
