PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide such a colored resin coated metal wire rod as is colored beautifully and excellent in the processability after it is colored and coated and as is capable of maintaining excellent design properties even after it is processed. SOLUTION: A colored resin coat of which the elongation is 10% or more and the glass transition temperature 10-80 deg.C is formed to be 0.1-10μm thick on the surface of the metal wire rod, and the operation is conducted.
