PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate waste of electric power caused by a voltage drop in a switch circuit during a discharge from a battery which is caused by insertion of a switch circuit for switching a flow of current to the battery on charge and a diode for backflow prevention when putting a plurality of batteries on charge. SOLUTION: By electrically interrupting a negative pole of a secondary battery 140 and the device gland during a charge, a closed circuit consisting of charger 120 and rechargeable battery 140 only is configured to carry out charge. By isolating the potentials of the battery and the device during charge and eliminating the need for a backflow stopping diode for discharge current path on the positive pole side of the secondary battery 140, the electric power loss by the diode drop during a discharge is made zero.
