PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital broadcast receiver having a unit for displaying multimedia information included in a digital broadcast with portability readily to mount in a mobile such as an automobile, thereby displaying the multimedia information both outside and inside the mobile, and facilitating effective use of multimedia information. SOLUTION: A digital broadcast receiver 1 is provided with a tuner 10 receiving the digital broadcast including coded information, a first memory 16 storing information included in the digital broadcast, a voice decoder 12 outputting voice information to a speaker 40, a fixed unit 2 having a first radio interface(IF) 15 which transmits information to a portable unit 3, a second radio IF 30 receiving the information from the fixed unit 2, a second memory 33 storing the information, a second CPU 32 decoding the information, and a display 35 displaying the decoded information. The digital broadcast receiver 1 is constituted of a fixed unit 2 and a portable unit 3 capable of attaching/ detaching to/from the fixed unit 2.
