PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic diagnostic imaging apparatus and an ultrasonic diagnostic imaging method, the apparatus and the method enabling an anisotropic region to be clearly revealed.SOLUTION: A transmission part 12 and a reception part 13 drive a plurality of transducers 2a to repeatedly transmit and receive ultrasonic waves in two or more different directions, so that scanning of ultrasonic waves is performed two or more times so as to cause a part or the whole of a scan area overlap. An image processing part 15 generates a plurality of component image data from a reception signal obtained as a result of scanning of ultrasonic waves by the transmission part 12 and the reception part 13. An anisotropic region detecting part 16 evaluates anisotropy of reflection of the ultrasonic waves in a subject on the basis of at least one of ultrasonic image data and the reception signal. The image processing part 15 generates composite image data obtained by composing the plurality of component image data according to an evaluation result of the anisotropic region detecting part 16.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
