PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tool holder device which can correctly position a tool to the tool holder, deal with the rotation at a high speed, and easily detach the tool from the tool holder. SOLUTION: This tool holder device comprises a tool holder 10 having a tool holding part 10d provided with a tool insertion hole 11 comprising a large diameter hole 11a and a small diameter hole 11b, and a hydraulic pressure feed hole 12 communicated with a stepped part between the large diameter hole 11a and the small diameter hole 11b; and a tool 20 having a large diameter part 20a and a small diameter part 20b corresponding to the large diameter hole and the small diameter hole in which at least one of the diameter of the large diameter part to the large diameter hole and the diameter of the small diameter part to the small diameter hole has a tightening margin. A tip of a tool positioning screw 15b screwed in a screw hole 15a communicated with the tool insertion hole is allowed to abut on a rear end face 20f of the tool from a rear end of the tool holder 10.
