<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate noises in a block border line of an analog video signal, in which a block border noise with a discontinuous luminance at a block border line of 8 by 8, when converting a digital video signal compressed with a high compression rate into an analog signal, and information indicating the block border line disappears upon analog conversion. SOLUTION: A differentiation of a histogram of a horizontal line (vertical line) is determined. A local peak, appearing in the differentiation periodically, is a block border line. To make the block border line inconspicuous, pixels existing in front and in back of the block border line, are averaged so that luminance information or color difference information of the pixels becomes continuous.</p> |
