PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an on-vehicle computer enabling an interrupt process when operating software that requires readiness, as in navigation, without impairing the responsiveness of the software. SOLUTION: The on-vehicle computer includes information acquisition means 7 for acquiring one's own vehicle position information and traffic information from the outside of the vehicle; a second control means 8 for transmitting the information acquired by the information acquisition means 7, by dividing it into packet data in a predetermined amount of data; a temporary packet data retaining means 9 having packet data retaining areas 10 for storing the packet data for each information acquisition means 7 and outputting an interrupt signal when the packet data outputted from the second control means 8 are saved in the packet data retaining areas 10; and a first control means 4 providing navigation based on inputted destination information and using a general-purpose operating system and software operating on the general-purpose operating system, the first control means reading, upon the input of the interrupt signal, the packet data stored in the temporary retaining means 9. |
