PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk reproducing device capable of bursting video/audio information of a main part recorded on an optical disk into reproduction without displaying an opening screen or a menu screen set to the optical disk when the optical disk reproducing device is loaded with the optical disk to reproduce the video/audio information recorded on the optical disk. SOLUTION: In the case that a setup menu for setting various functions of the optical disk reproducing device is displayed and 'direct and immediate reproduction' is selected in a selection function in the displayed setup menu, when an optical disk is loaded to the optical disk reproducing device to reproduce the optical disk, the optical disk reproducing device reproduces the video/ audio information from a first chapter included in a first title of the video/audio information recorded on the optical disk without displaying the opening menu and the menu image set to the optical disk.
