PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To normally perform cooking with optimum cooking sequence by receiving control data of the processes of the cooking menu for deliciously cooked food through the use of a communication means, storing the data and performing cooking with the data in a rice cooker which controls the respective processes of cooking in response to the set cooking menu and cooks food. SOLUTION: A control means 16 controls a cooking means 11 for cooking the food such as rice or water put in a pot so as to cook the food. The control means 16 outputs the data to a transmitting means 13, the communication means 15 performs data communication with an outer part, the means 16 inputs cooking menu process control data which is outputted from a receiving means 14, stores it in a storage means 17, inputs cooking menu process control data stored in the storage means 17 which corresponds to the cooking menu set by a setting means 12 for setting the cooking menu to be used and controls the cooking means 11 by using this data to cook the food.
