PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the versatility of the arrangement of an outlet of an EGR gas in an intake and collection chamber without increasing the parts number, and to increase the rigidity of an intake manifold having a split structure. SOLUTION: An intake system of a multi-cylinder internal combustion engine has an intake manifold M in which an inner member comprising a lower inner member 50 and an upper inner member which are split in upper and lower members is disposed on the inner side of an outer member comprising a lower outer member 30 and an upper outer member which are split in upper and lower members. The intake and collection chamber 20 and an intake passage 21 respectively comprise the lower outer member 30 and the lower inner member 50, and an EGR gas passage forming part 73 with an EGR gas passage 74 formed therein is integrated with the lower inner member 50. The EGR gas flowing from an exhaust introduction pipe 70 flows out into the intake and collection chamber 20 from an outlet 74b of the EGR gas passage 74.
