PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To extremely simplify the transfer or introducing operation of foamed plastic beads into a retaining mold by reducing the size of foamed plastic beams having a closed cell structure by depressurization. SOLUTION: In the method for treating castable foamed plastic particles (32) and the apparatus performing this method, the foamed plastic particles (32) are reduced in bulk in a reduced pressure state and subsequently introduced into retaining molds (10, 34, 46, 52 and 56) to be restored to the original outer shape in a non-reduced pressure state. |
