<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage container for a thin object which prevents large stress from being applied to wafers when it is dropped by mistake and thereby enables to protect the wafers. SOLUTION: The storage container for a thin object comprises a case 3 having a storage space 2 for storing at least one thin object 1, a removable cover 5 which is removably provided on the case so as to cover an opening section of the case 3, and a fixation section for fixing the thin object 1 stored in the case 3. The storage container for a thin object transports or stores the thin object 1, with the thin object 1 being kept in an extra-clean atmosphere in the storage space 2. In the storage container, a deforming section 11 which is deformed in a force applied direction and absorbs the force and a cushioning section 14 which is connected to the deforming section 11 to further absorb the force received by the deforming section 11 are inserted between the fixation section and the case 3 or between the fixation section and the removable cover 5.</p> |
